Death by Strawberry

There was an incident earlier today involving the car that I drive. I had managed to go to school, leave campus and return without incident. But, when I left at 3:00 with my friend Taki-chan, we noticed that my brake lights were on. We didn't think anything of it at the time, and I chalked it up to the reflection of the sun in the lights...even though I looked around and noticed that the reflection of the sun didn't have the same effect on the other cars.

Taki and I went to the Plaza, and walked around for a while, checking things out. I finally found the Wolf's Rain manga box set, but decided not to get it since it was just a little expensive. We left the Plaza and went to Borders.

There, I found volume one of Bleach. I know it's up to about, four volumes, but I'm a little behind. When it first came out, I wasn't sure if I should get it since I had already read scanlations of the first few volumes of manga. (Up to "Quincy Archer Hates You.") But, since the anime is out, I've decided that I should get the manga. (Hee hee... I'm so easily influenced...)

So I got the first volume and the second volume. I had a coupon, so it came out to about $13 or so.

We left Borders, and went to the car. Since the sun was setting, I could definitely tell that the brake lights were on. I called my parents, and my dad had me check a few things, and nothing worked. Then he told me to get home as soon as I could, since the lights being on were draining the car's battery. He wasn't willing to come back into town to get me if the car died.

My father is the nicest person in the world. //end sarcasm

Anyway, I made it home. So did Taki-chan. My dad checked the car when he got home, and found that a tab had broken off. He stuck it back on. With duct tape.

So now the lights are off. And all that stands between my car and its breaking down is duct tape.

Great.
